Lisa Prytle
Jenny Gauldin
Jenny is an assistant groomer and came to work with us here at AMC in December 2005. She started working in the grooming department as a bather/brusher and has worked her way up to assisting Linda with the overall grooming services.  She graduated from Chatham High School in 2002 where she earned many awards with FFA  in animal management and care. She continued her education at National Business College for information systems technology. 
Jenny and Derrick along with their children Maddie and Alex live on a farm in Callands. Their farm includes cattle, horses, hogs, dogs, a cat and turtle! Jenny has always had a love for animals and their well being. 
Tonya Taylor Wyatt
Tonya is our Head Technician. She has worked at animal clinics her whole life and has been at AMC since 2001. She manages the Barking Lot portion of AMC and is invaluable in surgery and all aspects of technical care and is currently attending school to become a License Vet Tech. When Tonya isn't at work she spends time with her family, friends and fur babies. She has 2 dachshunds named  Maddie and Daxx,  a yorkie named Avery and her neatest addition Keegan, a Irish Setter. 

Stephanie Hunt
Stephanie  is one of our receptionist at AMC. As a receptionist she is very detailed oriented and also possesses great communication skills. She is married to Ray Hunt and together they have a son named Liam. She has 2 recent additions to her family, Lisbon and Hotwheels, both adopted from local shelters. Stephanie and Lisbon visit local retirement homes for pet therapy once a month.

Angelia Dawn Pelletier
Angie has been a receptionist at Animal Medical Center since 1999. She has a great eye for details and hustles to make sure our clients and their pets are seen in a timely efficient manner. She is from Danville, the daughter of Philip and Linda Hudgins. She has been married to her husband Ricky for 10 years . In addition to her human family, she has two dogs named Rocky and Yukon and a cat named Kitty Boo. Angie loves spending time with her nieces and nephew, skating, dancing and going to the mountains.
Desiree Robertson
Desi has been a technician for AMC since 2008. As a technician, she works directly with our clients and their pets, and is great at communication and is currently enrolled at Penn Foster to become a license Vet Tech. She is available to house sit for your pets as a side job and is well versed in giving meds, etc. She is married to Bryan Robertson and they have a daughter named Aayla. She has two furry babies, Leia and Penelope that keep her hopping.
Melissa Rose
Melissa works in our grooming department as an assistant groomer. She started working at AMC in 2012 as a bather/brusher. She gives each dog and cat her own special touch while they are having their spa day. Since the very beginning Melissa has worked hard to learn and understand our grooming techniques. She is now able to help with the haircuts and combouts. Melissa's household includes her son Conner and 2 dogs named Sadie and Buttons. 
Linda Worsley
Linda has been our groomer at AMC since 1981. She has shown and bred Brussels Griffons and Poodles in the past although her crew is now enjoying retirement. You might find her riding her horse on Sunday afternoon if it's not raining. She shares a home in White Oak Mountain with a dog, 3 cats, a horse and a donkey. 
Cesily  works with us in the Barking Lot, kennel and as a Technician assistant. She was born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan and moved to North Carolina with her fiance in 2006. She graduated High School with a 4.0 GPA in 2008, while also working with the local animal shelter part-time. Cesily loves ALL types of animals, including the "creepy" and the "crawly". She is  currently owned by her 3 year old son, Hayden, and her 2 dogs Diamond and Zodiac whom she adopted from the humane society.Her dogs are known for stealing the bed, and playing tug-of-war with her son. Cesily's career goal in life is to meet and learn about as many diferent animals as she possibly can, and to eventually become a Veterinarian. What a better place to start than here at AMC.
Lisa is our Practice Manager and has been with us for 23 years. She handles all the behind the scenes action here at AMC. She has 2 children named Evan and Cara. Her furry companion is a Shih tzu named Bell and golden retriever named Riley.  Lisa loves to travel and spend time with her family and husband named Dee.   
Liz is our token Brit (english accent complimentary) and moved here from Arizona to join our AMC family in 1994. She works as a technician assisting the doctors, provides nursing care to our hospitalized patients and also manages the clinic's inventory and any special orders for our clients when needed.
Liz has two sons living in Tucson and Atlanta and she now lives with her partner Steve and her other two "boys",cats Jack and Denny, in Ringgold.
Dana is a Danville native graduating from GWHS in '04 and Averett University on 2008. She worked as a research specialist at the Institute, but felt she had to persue her passion of Veterinary Medicine. Dana has been in the field for 6 years and plans on obtaining her Veterinary Technician License. When not working you will find her spending time with her son Jaxon and Chihuahua Koopa. She is also a licensed Zumba Fitness Instructor and leads classes all around town.
Lauren Spivey
Lauren joined the AMC family in March of this year as a vet tech.  A graduate of GWHS & Averett University, Lauren enjoys taking care of animals and strives to brighten our clients days.  When not at AMC, she loves the outdoors and spending time with her husband Wes and son Nash,  participating in a variety of activities ranging from working in the yard & garden, hiking & walking with their 4 dogs, running marathons or competing in sporting events and relaxing at the beach.  
Wendy Price, LVT
Wendy graduated with an AAS degree in Veterinary Technology. In 2004, after passing her National Veterinary Technology Board, Wendy was licensed and moved to Little Rock, Arkansas to work as the only vet tech for the Little Rock Zoo. She was at the zoo for three and a half years before deciding to move back to Virginia to be closer to her family and friends. Wendy started her adventures at Animal Medical Center as a volunteer while in high school and   since then Wendy as been with AMC in one capacity or another off and on for many years; but she feels that AMC has always been her true home from the beginning. Wendy is our resident expert on raising all kinds of orphaned babies, majoring in kittens; and also specializes in Schnauzer "whispering". She and her husband live in Danville with their St. Bernard Maggie, Rough Collie Murray, Miniature Schnauzer Oskar, and five cats; Callie, Tristan, Bobby, Stuart and Nicodemus. 
Megan Barnes
Megan works as a receptionist with some wonderful girls at the front desk. She has been with us at Animal Medical Center since May of 2014. She moved here from her hometown Timberville Virginia in 2002. She has raised her nephew Micah, and spends most of her time with him.  Megan has a dog named Sadie and 2 cats, Sassy and JJ.  She has a great love for the outdoors including hunting, fishing,tennis, biking, camping and hiking. Most of all family and friends are the most important part of her life.


Emily Sakellaris
Emily started AMC in September 2014 in The Barking Lot. She has been a great asset to our team and has joined our back staff with kennel and technician work as well as working with the fun loving dogs in The Barking Lot. She stays busy with working here, owning her own business Whispering Oaks and working on her farm. She has a love for goats and many other animals. 
Cheryl Rudd Johnson
Lori Graham
Lori started her veterinary career in 2001 in our partner clinic (at that time) in South Boston with Dr. Kathryn Edmunds. She started out as a Vet Assistant and over time, realized that Customer Service was where she could interact more with clients and help them with all aspects of their pets' care. In 2014, she joined our staff as receptionist thereby continuing to help our clients with their pets' needs. Originally from NJ, Lori moved to Virginia in 1989 and now lives in Alton with her significant other, Wes. She has two grown children, Amanda and Tyler, and is furparent to an array of dogs, cats, and horses.
Lindsey Wells
Lindsey joined the AMC family in the Barking Lot in November 2015. A graduate of GWHS and Guilford College. Lindsey has always been an animal lover. She rescued her first dog, Roscoe, after graduating college. She also took in a Boxer, Jake, who works for State Farm. (Hehehe) Lindsey is an avid comedy, movie, music, and shark enthusiast.
Bethany Scearce
Bethany started working in the dog park in February of 2016. She attends Danville Community College and in Fall of 2017 plans to transfer to UNC Wilmington to study film. She has two small dogs at home, Fancy and step-dog Binkie.
Cheryl started working with us in February 2015 as a veterinarian technician. She shares here home with her husband Keith and her 2 children Cheyanne and Zachary. She has 3 dogs, Roxie, Rosie and Woody and 2 cats, Silas and Jase.
Peggy Jones
Peggy was born in South Boston VA and has always had a passion for animals. She has worked in the veterinary profession since 1985. She joined our team in 2016 as a technician. Peggy loves meeting new people and building relationships with them and their pets. She has 4 dogs, 1 cat, pot belly pig and chickens. When not  working at AMC she grooms dogs and cats at her home and serves the Board of Halifax Dog Squad.
