Doggie Daycare-The Barking Lot:
We are proud to provide an enviroment where your pet is supervised at all times by an attendant. Dogs are social animals and need interaction with other dogs and people on a regular basis to remain happy and healthy.  No matter how many hugs and kisses you give them, you can't escape the sadness in their eyes when you leave.  Dogs don't understand our human way of life and the many things that get in the way of spending the day with each other. Those that are forced to stay at home alone all day will become bored, frustrated and unhappy. They may exhibit destructive behaviors or even cry and bark for hours on end, as they suffer from separation anxiety when left alone. They need companionship and exercise for their total well being.  At The Barking Lot we let the dogs wrestle, play ball, run around, and weather permitting play with the water hose and in the pools.  We also have an agility course that we train the dogs in.
Dogs will spend the day being part of a healthy happy dog pack. This will provide them with a social outlet, so while you spend the day doing human stuff your dog is having a great time doing dog stuff.  Our business gives pet owners peace of mind knowing that their pup is getting the exercise and socialization that it needs and desires; all in a safe, secure and monitored enviroment.  After all, a tired dog is a happy dog.
To be eligible for The Barking Lot your dog needs to be fully vaccinated, have a negative fecal, and be friendly toward other dogs.  In addition you will have to sign a permission form available at the front desk.

Animal Medical Center of Danville Services
At Animal Medical Center of Danville, we take care to provide our clients high quality services personalized for their unique needs. Our staff members are professional, courteous and efficient.
Boarding:
When traveling for business or taking your family on vacation there is a lot to do and enough stress without having to worry about who is going to take care of your beloved animal companion. This is especially true if your pet has a chronic or acute medical condition that requires a caregiver with some veterinary knowledge and experience.
Rather than impose on a neighbor or rely on a pet sitter with little animal care training, we offer veterinarian-supervised boarding for pets with medical needs. We are able to offer your pet safe and comfortable boarding as well as any necessary medical care if needed. We have a climate controlled kennel and a large exercise yard with seperate runs for you dog's outside needs.
We are all pet owners and deliver our boarding service as we would want our own pet cared for. When you bring your pet for boarding they will be personally admitted to the hospital by one of our trained veterinary technician team members.Your pet’s special health needs, such as medicine administration, food preparation, and exercise restrictions, will all be reviewed with you. In many cases, clients will bring their pet’s own food as many are on special diets. Required vaccinations must be up to date. Toys and personal items are welcome to help make the pet as comfortable as possible.

Our cat boarding has its own dedicated space where they have lots of room to play. They can hang out in their own personal condo or stretch their legs and play or lounge as they like.

Grooming:
Animal Medical Center provides an all-breed dog and cat grooming service by appointment only.

This service has been provided since 1981 by Linda Worsley, a graduate of the New York School of Dog Grooming and Certified Master Groomer (National Dog Groomers Association, Inc.) with the assistance of staff members Jenny Gauldin and Melissa Rose, who have an additional combined experience of 8 years.

We offer professional breed styling (or mutt makeovers) with the added advantage of veterinarian supervised skin and coat care, as well as flea and tick prevention. Appointments are available Monday through Friday. Visit their website at www.groomingatamc.com

Annual or Biannual Physical Examination, Vaccinations & Diagnostic Test:
We recommend annual physical exams for your pet to ensure that your pet is receiving the best medical attention and is on schedule for appropriate pet vaccinations to maintain optimal health. For pets over the age of 7, we recommend a geriatric physical exam every 6 months.

Dentistry:
Good oral health for your pet can result in a longer and happier life! During our yearly physical examination, we will examine your pet’s mouth for any dental issues.  At our animal hospital we offer a myriad of dental services, including: oral and dental exams, cleaning, polishing, and extractions. Feel free to call us at any time to set up an appointment.
Diagnostic and Lab Procedures:
We provide a variety of in house and out of house lab services. Most test results are available at time of examination.
Emergency Care:
We offer emergency services during normal working hours. We are available seven days a week.  If your pet is in need of emergency care after hours, call (434)793-6477 and we will provide you with alternative numbers for emergency services.
Pet Surgery Services:
With our advanced anesthetic capabilities and surgical monitoring equipment, we do our best to ensure safety and comfort for your pet.  Some examples of surgeries we routinely perform are:  spays and neuters, mass removal, laceration repairs, pinning of fractured legs, thyroidectomy, anterior cruciate ligament repair, patella luxation repair, abdominal exploratory, femoral head osteotomies, amputations, biopsies, declaws, eye enucleations, and other specialty surgeries.

Hospitalization:
While your pet is in our animal hospital, we provide daily meals, monitoring, and safety.  Our trained staff will communicate directly with you about your pet's progress. We encourage you to come see your pet during our visiting hours.
Pharmacy:
We carry a full line of medications for your pet including vitamin and mineral supplements, shampoo,  flea and tick control, and heartworm medication.  Additionally, we offer prescription medications.

Therapeutic Laser Therapy: Laser therapy uses a beam of light to deeply penetrate tissue without damaging it. Laser energy induces a biological response in the cells that reduces pain, inflammation, and increases healing speed. It is particularly good with arthritic dogs and cats and injuries, as well as post operative pain management.
